Air business travel is going through something of a boom period, following years of consolidation. Although the American market, which has been the traditional stronghold of jet plane sales and rentals, remains steady, overseas markets are providing a considerable impetus to growth. All types and sizes of jet plane are experiencing increased sales, whether they are very light aircraft used as air taxis or the heavy end of the market, but the greatest growth is in the light to middle range of aircraft. Corporations don't want to spend any more money than they need to on what is a huge expense, but they don't want to be left with an aircraft which does not have enough capacity for their needs.
Only the very largest of corporations will really have a need for the largest of business jet aircraft, and even then only if they have a constant need for large numbers of executives to travel at any given time. If you choose not to buy a jet plane outright, either on your own or as part of a fractional ownership arrangement, you can still take advantage or air business travel. There is a healthy market in rental deals for charter aircraft, and these can even be structured so that you retain ownership of the aircraft if payments are maintained for a certain length of time. You get the most flexible deal possible with this type of arrangement, as you can pull out of the deal at any time. The payments you have already made will simply be a rental for your air business travel.
