Is The Learjet The Ideal Choice Among Private Charter Jets?

Learjet aircraft have become a legendary name in the industry, and not without good reason. From its humble beginnings as a converted fighter plane, to its status as one of the best known names in aviation, the Lear jet has been consistently at the forefront of the private jet industry. This is now long enough established for there to be an authoritative trade body, and it is continuing to grow in popularity amongst wealthy people who do not want the constant worry of owning an aircraft outright. Air taxis offer the ultimate in freedom and convenience, in that they can be ordered to take you virtually anywhere in the world whenever you want to go, and to do so at the fastest possible speed.

The market in private charter jets is also growing throughout the USA and overseas, with the highest demand for aircraft which are larger than an air taxi, but still small enough to be economical and to have access to the highest number of airports. The Learjet corporation is now firmly established at the cutting edge of the small light aircraft industry, and is satisfying this demand. You can either own your own airplane outright, own part of it through fractional jet ownership, or just take advantage of the many rental opportunities.

Even with a Learjet, you will struggle to buy a brand new aircraft without giving a significant period of notice. New jet aircraft are made to order, after the deposit has been paid and the income guaranteed. Aircraft manufacturers cannot afford to be left holding planes they cannot sell because someone has changed their mind. If you are not prepared to wait for an aircraft to be manufactured, you can take advantage of the used market. Be aware, though, that there is a lot of demand for used aircraft which carry a name as prestigious as Learjet.
